About the artist

I paint Hawaii because it transcends me to the islands and renews my spirit. We live in a stressful world and so I invite viewers to experience peace and relaxation. My intent is to increase appreciation for the precious, natural beauty of Hawaii.

I paint in an Organic-Expressive style that combines the influences of Art Nouveau, Impressionism, and Expressionism. Subject matter consists of tranquil waters, majestic mountains, tropical chickens, and exotic flowers. Enamored by Hawaii’s beautiful lighting, I paint in a wide range of warm and cool hues to capture the cool moon at midnight and the warm sun as it rises from behind the sea.

Compositions are based on digital photography taken while visiting Hawaii. I use acrylic for its fast-drying properties and eco-friendliness. Paintings come in various formats and sizes. My most recent work captures stunning, panoramic views from the islands.
I paint from my heart to yours with true aloha spirit.
